The author determines psychological, didactic and methodical conditions of using multimedia technologies.
Role of an algorithmic approach of computer technologies usage which increases the efficiency of school-children’s learning is proved. Using multimedia presentations seems to be the most appropriate because of simultaneous impact of different types of information is provided by such a syncretic education. That allows students to perceive the learning material consciously. Using multimedia presentations to define the essence
of the content of fiction as well as status and role characteristics of characters is underlined. The author has studied the IT usage in mentally retarded students teaching. In every Ukrainian special school there are available computers for mentally retarded students, which is in the most classrooms, as well as a multi-touch interactive whiteboards. We have surveyed the teachers of 7-10 grades in terms of their attitude
to using computer technologies during reading lessons and home reading.
