In the article the possibilities of sports games for realization of educational, improving and educational problems of physical training of students are revealed. The effectiveness of the sectional form of organization of physical exercises in the conditions of institutions of secondary and higher education is substantiated. The realization of the tasks of physical education of the younger generation in secondary and higher educational establishments requires, first of all, the use of popular, accessible and effective types of physical exercises in various fo rms, including in the process of sectional work. An optimal form of physical exercise, which has both a health-improving, educational and applied value, is a popular sport among young people. Classes in sport games contribute to the improvement of the physical, mental and personal qualities of students and students, including motor, applied, volitional, moral, patriotic and aesthetic aspects of their life and future professional activities. Section sessions on sports games allow motor and psychological training of young people, create vital and professionally necessary motor experience, promote emotional unloading and have educational potential, which confirms the high potential in the mplementation of educational, recreational and motor tasks of physical education in institutions of secondary and higher education. Sport games differ in physical activity of mixed (aerobic-anaerobic) power for most muscle groups, the work of variable intensity and the need for a large number of speed-force and precision movements.
