Introduction. Since the 90s of the twentieth century to this day literary critics state the Ukrainian literature crisis. The alternative escape from this state is N. Zborovskaya’s philosophical analysis of literature, based on the works of J. Derrida who spoke about the philosophy and literature identity. In ontology, the vision of the world can be characterized by the perception of nature, through the material and the perfect, objective and subjective. The existence of man is realized by Pavel Volwach mainly in the thoughts of the character about his environment, his place in life. The author resorts to emphasizing the exclusive character of the character, describing such a familiar traditional way of life for the writer: meetings with friends, daily worries, etc., his «fall» from the «factory» reality that captivated everything. Conscious Ukrainian finds himself the lyrical character in his native language. He simply feels the physical pain of the inconsistency of his own national self-awareness with the outside world. The author emphasizes this at the level of the language of the character. Analyzing the spiritual as a special form of being, philosophers consider it in relation to being human and being of the world. On the one hand, it is part of the world, and on the other, it has priority over all forms of human existence. Being spiritual in poetry is the journey through the labyrinths of consciousness, the memory of the character. These trips are chaotic and inconsistent, devoid of logic. To the occurrence of memories prompts any word, picture of nature, smell, man. In general, the character exists more in his own subconscious, in his thoughts and in his memories than in reality, in his subconscious he escapes from a reality that does not coincide with his inner world. The most striking is the inconsistency, otherwise manifested in the national self-awareness of the character. Thus, the poetic and prose work of Pavel Volvach is a philosophical immersion in the depths of human existence, manifested at such levels as: self-knowledge, comprehension of nature, comprehension of social, national, state-forming processes. The existence of man in the poetry of the writer is realized by a lyrical character who is capable of self-knowledge and reflection, of self-awareness of the confrontation of his own «I» society. However, the confrontation is passive, inactive, the character is aware of his inconsistency with the society, but does not fight it. The most striking inconsistency with society in lifestyles and worldviews is expressed in poetry, in particular in revealing attitudes to the question of the state and the nation.
