Головна увага зосереджена на описі епіфори, її видів і ролі у ліричних текстах Миколи Вороного. На основі ілюстративного матеріалу розглянуто функції анепіфори та епанафори в ідіостилі поета.
Introduction. The secret of Mykola Vorony’s poetic skillfulness is a special musicality, creating new sound images, an extremely rich means of expressive sound repetition. The main task of phonostylistics is analyzing phonet ic resources used by native speakers for communication purposes.
Purpose. Determine the place and role of epiphora in Mykola Vorony’s poetry. Consider the types of epiphoras in the poet’s lyrical works.
Methods. Method of linguistic description, descriptive-analytical method, method of component analysis, statistical method.
Results. Mykola Vorony’s lyrics is filled with sound repetitions. The poet used epiphora expresseing the speech and emphasizing the message. Being a symbolist the author most often used sound epiphora, which can be expressed both by sound and sound combination. The sound epiphora can focus on depicting the inner state of the character, delineate the state of nature, natural phenomena. One of the most productive ways of creating epiphora in Mykola Voronu’s lyrics is the inner rhyme.
In his poetry Mykola Vorony used repetition of the language components of the same semantics, in particular morphemes. The texts of his poetry are rich in repeating the same or similar affixes. Mykola Vorony used different combinations of single-root words, which are linearly interconnected. In Mykola Vorony’s lyrics epiphora in addition to composite, the epiphor also performs both the functions of composition, amplification and expression, underlying certain components of the text or the whole expression in it. It forms the main leitmotif of the text, that is, it focuses attention on its leading thought. In addition to the analyzed types of repetition, in Mykola Vorony’s poetry aneiphora and epanaphora coexist. Mykola Vorony used them to emphasize the basic idea or strengthen the imessage content of the poetry.
Originality. The research of epiphora, its types and role in creating Mykola Vorony’s poetic images was carried out. Conclusion. We came to the conclusion that epiphora, anepiphora and epanaphora in Mykola Vorony’s poetic texts not only create positive aesthetic phonical phenomena, emphasizing the emotional aspect of the poetry, but also play a rhythmic role in the text, further integrating the poetic elements into a separate unit, are used to make the artistic speech nore expressive.
