В роботі представлені результати дослідження особливостей педагогічного процесу оволодіння іноземними
мовами студентів-спортсменів в рамках процесу їх професійної соціалізації у Придніпровській державній академії фізичної
культури і спорту. На основі отриманих даних було встановлено, що студенти-спортсмени достатньо працездатні,
якщо їх залучати до навчання іноземним мовам у спортивному виші за специфічними системними методиками
викладання.
The results of studying the peculiarities of the
pedagogical process of mastering the foreign languages of student-athletes as part of the process of their professional socialization
at Pridniprovsk State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport are presented in the research. Based on the data it has been
established that students-sportsmen are sufficiently able-bodied if they are involved in learning foreign languages in sporting higher
education on the basis of specific system teaching methods (with the help of perseverance, purposefulness, self-esteem, a desire to
self-actualize and others). It is noted that in the process of studying foreign languages the motivation is not at the last place. It is
also should be mentioned that the study of foreign languages contributes to such areas of professional activity as familiarization with
new technologies, scientific hypotheses, and trends, outstanding innovation in science, technology and sports; establishing contacts
with foreign companies, enterprises, educational institutions; raising the level of professional competence. It was emphasized that
the research was conducted according to one strategy, which was to demonstrate the necessity of studying a foreign language in the
process of socialization of students in higher educational institutions of physical culture. It should be noted that the model that we
have chosen for the effective socialization of students in the process of studying foreign languages is relevant and should affect the
student-athlete, both pedagogically-didactic and psychologically. We believe that foreign language lessons in sports and nonlinguistic
pedagogical universities should be based on competence, differentiated, individual, communicative activity approaches to
ensure an optimal structure and effective operation of the process of identity formation of future specialist in sports. We come to the
conclusion that it is necessary to introduce a cross-examination of foreign languages from the first to the last year, and an additional
recurring special course in foreign language for admission to the Master’s program. Only under such conditions, we can confidently
speak about the effective psychological and pedagogical socialization of students in the study of a foreign language and the actual
optimization of the educational process. Continuation of research during the educational process and further analysis of scientific
and methodical method of teaching foreign languages in sport is assumed.
