The article deals with the key motivational triad proposed by I. O. Blinova: motivation – motivationally bound words – the inner form of the word; the definitions of the concept “poetic text”, “individual style of the author” in modern linguistics have been given; motivationally bound words that correspond to the individual style of Lesya Ukrainka in her poetic texts have been traced. Motivation is a structural-semantic property of a word, which makes it possible to realize the interdependence of its meaning (semimes) and sound (lexeme) based on the correlation with linguistic or non-verbal reality. In this case, motivation as the property of the word has such special means of expression as motivationally bound words and the inner form of the word. Motivationally bound words have been in the center of attention, which, as a rule, implement the systemic-creative function of the language, provide the integrity of its verbal framework (O. I. Blinova). Poetic text is a special form of communication that reflects a certain model of the world, represented in accordance with the aesthetic concept of the author. The individual style of the author is “specific language features of a particular bearer of the language” (V. A. Vinogradov), which play a special role in poetry, where the ratio of general and individual stylistic characteristics is fundamental; this is “author's manner” and “individual writing of the writer” (V. S. Modestov).
