This article identifies the content, forms and methods of formation of motivation for physical training of seniors means health fitness. Relevance of research of problems of formation of motivation to employment by physical culture of pupils by means of health fitness related to the orientation of pedagogical theory and practices to develop modern techniques that improve the efficiency of the educational and health process in schools and extracurricular educational institutions. The study of psycho-pedagogical and sports literature shows that physical education high school essential classes in health fitness. This is because they are popular among young students, one of the effective means their full development. However, in recent years the study of problems of physical education of students is the insufficient attention that has led to a gradual decline in their interest in popular and unpopular forms and methods of physical education. Motivating activity can be carried out in different substantial directions, unfold in a different structural sequence, with a predominance of socially or individually oriented orientation. Nature willful act allows to identify the elementary mechanisms of formation of motives and their content is presented through the analysis and interpretation of psychological needs of human life. The motives of sports activity are characterized by pronounced social orientation and educational aspirations. The results of scientific studies conducted in recent years show that physical culture and sport are the most important means of upbringing a comprehensively developed personality, actively influence the formation of its spirituality, development of creative activity, strengthening and preservation of health. A variety of movements and actions performed in the course of health fitness outdoors in favorable hygienic conditions, have a great healing effect, strengthen the nervous system, develop the musculoskeletal system, improves overall metabolism, increases the activity of all organs and body systems students.
