Сучасна парадигма освіти визначається тенденціями до постійного вдосконалення педагогічної майстерності викладачів за всією освітньою вертикаллю, зокрема й на рівні вищої освіти. Особливої уваги заслуговують ті підходи до організації освітнього процесу, що роблять середовище навчання та педагогічну взаємодію функціональними й практично спрямованими. Саме тому етимологічно закордонна технологія коучингу в контексті української освіти набуває дедалі більшого визнання. Мета статті – теоретично окреслити коучинг як педагогічну технологію викладання іноземної мови в закладах вищої освіти на основі узагальнення наявного досвіду застосування коучингового підходу для стимулювання іншомовних компетентностей здобувачів. Аналіз літератури показав, що ніша мовного коучингу в розрізі загальних коучингових практик розвивається чи не найбільш інтенсивно. У представленій розвідці дано визначення поняття мовного коучингу, з’ясовано специфіку технологій мовного коучингу порівняно з традиційним викладанням іноземної мови. Сформульовано умови успішного застосування коучингових технологій у вишах та передбачено перешкоди, які стають на заваді застосуванню мовного коучингу в українських вишах. Коучингові технології під час викладання іноземної мови є способом інтенсифікації навчання, максимально індивідуалізованого підходу до навчання здобувачів вищої освіти. Окрім того, коучинг, поряд із високою викладацькою майстерністю й досконалим знанням цільової іноземної мови викладачем, є ознакою високої кваліфікації педагога. У результаті застосування коучингових технологій студенти вчаться утримувати контроль над власним процесом вивченням мови та цільовими процесами іншомовного особистого чи професійно детермінованого спілкування. Подальші дослідження з теми доцільно організувати емпірично задля експериментального визначення ефективності застосування провідних коучингових технологій під час викладання студентам ЗВО іноземної мови. Зокрема, ідеться про техніки SMART to GROW; SMART, PURE & CLEAR goals, GROWTH Targets.
The modern paradigm of education is determined by the tendency to constantly improve the pedagogical skills of teachers across the entire educational vertical, in particular at the level of higher education. Those approaches to the organization of the educational process that make the learning environment and pedagogical interaction functional and practically oriented deserve special attention. That is why the etymologically foreign coaching technology in the context of Ukrainian education is gaining more and more recognition. The purpose of the article is to theoretically outline coaching as a pedagogical technology for teaching a foreign language in institutions of higher education based on the generalization of the existing experience of applying the coaching approach to stimulate foreign language competences of learners. The analysis of the literature showed that the niche of language coaching in terms of general coaching practices is developing almost the most intensively. The presented research defines the concept of language coaching, the specifics of language coaching technologies compared to traditional foreign language teaching are clarified. The conditions for the successful application of coaching technologies in higher education institutions are formulated and the obstacles that stand in the way of the application of language coaching in Ukrainian higher education institutions are foreseen. Coaching technologies during the teaching of a foreign language are a way of intensification of learning, a maximally individualized approach to the education of students of higher education. In addition, coaching, along with high teaching skills and perfect knowledge of the target foreign language by the teacher, is a sign of high qualification of the teacher. As a result of using coaching technologies, students learn to maintain control over their own language learning process and target processes of personal or professionally determined foreign language communication. Further research on the topic should be organized empirically in order to experimentally test the effectiveness of the use of coaching technologies when teaching foreign language to students of higher education institutions.
