Здійснено концептуальний аналіз інформаційно-комунікативної
сутності соціальних мережевих сервісів у вимірі сучасної освітньої
реальності. Розкрито антропоцентричний, аксіологічний вимір блогів, сервісу
подкастів і вікі; показано їх як соціокультурно обумовлені феномени.
Висвітлено пізнавально-прагматичні особливості подкастів, поліфонічність
блогу в контексті комунікативних практик. Аргументовано синергетичні
ефекти функціонування вікі, синергізм взаємодії, навчання, пізнання,
співтворчості у створюваному ними середовищі. Обґрунтовано доцільність
та визначено можливості застосування блогів, подкастів та вікі в системі
мовної освіти; проаналізовано функціонально-освітні особливості iTunes U,
перспективи його використання у вітчизняній системі освіти.
Осуществлен концептуальный анализ информационно-
коммуникативной сущности социальных сетевых сервисов в современной
образовательной реальности. Раскрыты антропоцентрические,
аксиологические особенности блогов, сервиса подкастов и вики, их
социокультурная обусловленность. Освещены познавательно-
прагматические особенности подкастов, полифоничность блога в контексте
коммуникативных практик. Аргументированы синергетические эффекты
функционирования вики, синергизм взаимодействия, обучения, познания,
сотворчества в создаваемой ими среде. Обоснована целесообразность и
определены возможности применения блогов, подкастов и вики в системе
языкового образования; проанализированы функционально-образовательные
особенности iTunes U, перспективы его использования в отечественной системе образования.
This dissertation focuses on a philosophical and educational analysis of the
informative and communicative nature of social software, such as blogs, podcasts,
and wikis. Their analysis as phenomena of today’s reality, as well as investigation
of their instructional potential as tools that create the contemporary educational
reality, requires a multidisciplinary approach and study of research in the field of
social philosophy, sociology, linguistics and so on. Interdisciplinary status of work
involves using a broad range of literature and also summarizing the experience of
Ukrainian and foreign researchers.
Self-fulfillment in the blogosphere, in podcasts domain, and in various wiki
provides not only the dialectic of self-change but also modifications,
personalization of this existential and working environment mastered by Man. This
environment stimulates Man to identify self as «self», providing the constitutive
impact of this informative, communicative and creative sphere on the search for
the meaning of life, a holistic view about the world and the «recognition» of the
truth. The blogosphere as a set of blogs is to some extent a socio-cultural
«universe», a particular environment for multicultural and intercultural interaction
and polylogue, which absorbs the morphology and vocabulary of various
multicultural, pluralistic traditions. The blog is a way of personal representation,
which «mirrors» humans in Web 2.0 epoch, the writing process itself, a bodily-
tactile experience when one can express ideas using not only the keyboard but also
an interactive screen of a tablet computer or a smartphone. It is worth also noting
that the main emphasis of the work was placed not on blogging or a blog itself
(although it is the «core» of blogging and is characterized by a particular
communicative self) but on their dissolving into each other with the subsequent
formation of an organic discourse in the web.
Nowadays the digital podcast, in various forms of its existential presence
(formats MP3, AAC, OGG, WMA) is a modus in which Man reproduces oneself in
the integrity of one’s lingual, social, cultural life, thus expanding own living space,
enriching a real communication experience with the virtual expertise in the web.
Podcast plays the role of the «voice» of the digital age, placing emphasis on its
socio-cultural «pros and cons». Moreover, reproducing, interpreting, translating
meanings, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and information in
society, and the enrichment of micro and macrocosm of Man, podcast can become
not only a creative tool but also may be a powerful means of destruction, as its
«philosophy» is based on the concept of freedom of expression and information. A further aspect of this work was the research of wikis by the methods of
synergetic. The synergy was used as a methodological strategy since such
phenomena as wikis, co-creation, collective learning and knowledge acquisition in
this environment demonstrate synergistic properties. The dual nature of wikis,
which involves the accumulation of individual and collective experience, combines
organization (the activity of groups, which form the community and work
together), and self-organization (individual activities of people, who assert
themselves and improve themselves, conducting independent research). The fractal
movement in the process of collaborative learning is a chain of changes, in which
personal knowledge is formed, completed and accumulated. This is what connects
the infinite potentiality of Man and his local completeness, which lies between the
possible and the actual. This practice of writing provides the existential aspects of
the personality with other epistemic and existential implications, in which it
manifests as the phenomenon of belonging, and identity, as a single collaborative
document cannot be created without the unique contribution of other participants,
based on equal information exchange and joint search for solutions to the issues.
Communication and interaction with social software 2.0 are forming the
present-day national educational reality, thereby changing it, enhancing the social
character of the pedagogic process, in which the teacher becomes a facilitator, a
consultant, and a coordinator. The use of blogs, podcasts, and wikis in the
Ukrainian language education system is a compensatory mechanism under the
current academic hours in a traditional classroom practice, which expands didactic
time and provides students with the additional meaningful communicative practice,
creating thus a prolonged immersion in a foreign language environment.
Furthermore, authentic content, the ability to arbitrarily set communication mode,
as well as the possibility to contact with many people simultaneously, help learners
remove barriers that exist in face-to-face communication, make educational
blogging, podcasts and wiki an effective tool for practically implementing
theoretical knowledge.
The final aspect of this research was to analyze functional and educational
properties of iTunes U. The teaching and learning with the help of this application
can be either independent (outside of the educational institution) in the form of
mobile learning or distance education or integrated into the traditional system. In
national realities, the use of iTunes U requires the creation of new organization and
management models of the learning process. Also, it can be a platform for the
presentation and promotion of courses in Ukrainian language.
