Сучасний стан проблеми надлишкової маси тіла та метаболічного синдрому військовослужбовців різних країн світу

Abstract

У статті представлено сучасний стан проблеми та передумови виникнення надлишкової маси тіла й метаболічного синдрому серед військовослужбовців. Здійснено системний аналіз науково-методичної літератури щодо поширеності надлишкової маси тіла та супутніх захворювань військовослужбовців у глобальному контексті. Проведено ретроспективний аналіз статистичних даних із метою вивчення динаміки поширеності надлишкової маси тіла та ожиріння серед військовослужбовців різних країн світу, зокрема й України, а також метаболічного синдрому в деяких країнах. Встановлено, що проблема надлишкової маси тіла й метаболічного синдрому є глобальною і вимагає комплексного підходу до її розв'язання. Розглянуто основні фактори розвитку надлишкової маси тіла, визначено сукупність фізіологічних порушень, характерних для метаболічного синдрому, окреслено шляхи вирішення проблеми надлишкової маси тіла військовослужбовців.

The article presents the current state of the issue and the prerequisites for the development of excessive body weight and metabolic syndrome among military personnel. A systematic analysis of scientific and methodological literature was conducted regarding the prevalence of excessive body weight and associated diseases among military personnel in a global context. A retrospective analysis of statistical data was carried out to study the dynamics of the prevalence of excessive body weight and obesity among military personnel in various countries worldwide, including Ukraine, as well as metabolic syndrome in some countries. It has been established that the issue of excessive body weight and metabolic syndrome is global and requires a comprehensive approach to its resolution. The main factors contributing to the development of excessive body weight were examined, a set of physiological disorders characteristic of metabolic syndrome was identified, and pathways for addressing the issue of excessive body weight among military personnel were outlined. It should be noted that ensuring an adequate level of kinesophilia through the implementation of health-improving and recreational physical activity programs, taking into account the specifics of service duties and healthy nutrition, will contribute to maintaining the health of military personnel and supporting combat readiness. An analysis of the prevalence of these phenomena among military personnel from different countries worldwide indicates the need for international cooperation in developing strategies to overcome them. In subsequent research, a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of existing weight management programs, adapted for civilian populations and military personnel, will be undertaken to identify optimal approaches, considering the specific demands of military service.
