Екскурсії в середній освіті України в 20-ті роки ХХ століття

Abstract

Стаття присвячена досвіду упровадження екскурсій в освітній процес вітчизняної середньої школи у двадцяті роки ХХ століття. Висвітлено практику використання освітянських екскурсій у період запровадження в Україні тодішніх освітніх інновацій – комплексової системи, дальтон-плану. Проаналізовано навчальні програми зазначеного періоду та виявлено місце в них навчальних екскурсій. Визначено, що включення екскурсій до навчальних програм як обов’язкових елементів навчального процесу було важливим чинником активізації екскурсійної роботи у школах. Показано, що екскурсії у цей період використовувалися у процесі викладання різних навчальних предметів, як природознавчого (фізика, хімія, природознавство тощо) спрямування, так і суспільствознавчих (зокрема історії), а також виробничі екскурсії. Проаналізовано методичні підходи до проведення навчальних екскурсій, основні рекомендації щодо їх підготовки як з боку вчителя, так і учнів, проведення, а також підведення підсумків та подальшого використання у навчальному процесі на уроках. Показано, що у ряді навчальних програм було розроблено цілісні екскурсійні плани, що передбачали як перелік екскурсій у взаємозв’язку із навчальними темами, так і методичні рекомендації щодо їх проведення. Привернуто увагу до застережень щодо відмінностей навчальних екскурсій від розважальних прогулянок, необхідність їх тісного зв’язку з навчанням, а також організацію навчальної діяльності учнів під час підготовки та проведення екскурсій та подальшої обробки зібраних матеріалів. Доведено, що у висвітлений період набуло певного поширення виокремлення екскурсійного методу, як особливої форми наочного методу навчання. Виявлено проблеми, що заважали більш широкому упровадження освітніх екскурсій у практику середньої школи (нестача коштів, кваліфікованих кадрів, відсутність в системі освіти відповідних профільних закладів).

The article is devoted to the experience of introducing excursions into the educational process of the national secondary school in the twenties of the twentieth century. The practice of using educational excursions during the period of introduction of educational innovations in Ukraine - the integrated system, the Dalton plan – is highlighted. The curricula of this period are analysed and the place of educational excursions in them is revealed. It is determined that the inclusion of excursions in the curriculum as mandatory elements of the educational process was an important factor in the intensification of excursion work in schools. It is shown that excursions in this period were used in the process of teaching various subjects, both natural sciences (physics, chemistry, natural history, etc.) and social sciences (in particular, history), as well as industrial excursions. The article analyses methodological approaches to conducting educational excursions, the main recommendations for their preparation by both teachers and students, conducting, as well as summarising and further use in the educational process at lessons. It is shown that a number of curricula have developed comprehensive excursion plans that include both a list of excursions in relation to educational topics and methodological recommendations for their conduct. Attention is drawn to the warnings about the differences between educational excursions and recreational walks, the need for their close connection with learning, as well as the organisation of students’ learning activities during the preparation and conduct of excursions and the subsequent processing of the collected materials. It is proved that in the period under review, the excursion method as a special form of visual teaching method became widespread. The problems that prevented the wider introduction of educational excursions into the practice of secondary schools (lack of funds, qualified personnel, lack of relevant specialised institutions in the education system) are identified.
