Особливості викладання другої іноземної мови в умовах дистанційного навчання

Abstract

Стаття присвячена особливостям викладання другої іноземної мови в умовах дистанційного навчання. Під час світової пандемії виникають нові правила навчання та викладання іноземних мов у закладах вищої освіти. У статті визначено, що під час вивчення другої іноземної мови у свідомості студента взаємодіють три мовні механізми: механізм рідної мови, першої іноземної та другої іноземної. Встановлено, що мета комунікативного підходу до опанування другої іноземної мови – позбавити студентів страху перед спілкуванням із носіями виучуваної мови. Процес опанування іноземної мови завжди має включати в себе чотири основні складники: читання, письмо, говоріння та слухання. Увесь цей комплекс сприяє створенню іноземного середовища, в якому повинні працювати студенти. Виокремлено переваги дистанційного опанування другої іноземної мови, а саме: набуття навичок роботи з новітніми технологіями навчання та викладання; удосконалення навичок самостійної роботи; ефективне планування часу, відведеного для самоосвіти; цілодобова доступність навчальних ресурсів; гнучкість дистанційної освіти; індивідуальний навчальний темп. У ході дослідження з’ясовано, що вивчення іноземної мови, у т. ч. другої, завжди потребує безпосередньої взаємодії викладача та студента, а також реагуючого зворотного зв’язку з боку викладача, який, своєю чергою, може бути експліцитним або імпліцитним. Зауважено, що важливою складовою частиною викладання другої іноземної мови дистанційно є застосування аудіо-, та відеоматеріалів у процесі навчання, оскільки воно сприяє становленню комунікативної компетенції студентів, розвиваючи їхні навички слухання (сприйняття іноземної мови на слух під час прослуховування аудіофайлів чи перегляду відео) та говоріння (подальшого обговорення прослуханого / переглянутого з одногрупниками чи викладачем). Встановлено, що лише за умови дотримання правил і норм освітнього процесу з боку викладача та студента вивчення другої іноземної мови на дистанційному навчанні буде здійснюватися в повному обсязі

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of teaching a second foreign language under the conditions of distance learning. Under the conditions of the world pandemic, new rules of teaching and learning foreign languages in higher educational establishments emerge. The article determines that during the study of a second foreign language three language mechanisms interact in the student's mind: the mechanism of the native language, the first foreign language and the second foreign language. It is established that the purpose of a communicative approach to mastering a second foreign language is to deprive students of fear of communicating with native speakers of the language being studied. The article states that the process of mastering a foreign language should always include four main components: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This complex contributes to the creation of a foreign environment, in which students must work. The advantages of distance learning of a second foreign language are highlighted, namely: acquisition of skills to work with the latest technologies of teaching and learning; improving independent studying skills; effective time planning allotted for self-education; round-the-clock availability to work with educational resources; flexibility of distance education; individual learning pace. Research has shown that learning a foreign language, including a second one, always requires direct teacher-student interaction and feedback, as well as the responsive feedback from the teacher, which can be explicit or implicit. It is noted that an important part of teaching a second foreign language at a distance is the use of audio and video materials in the learning process, as the use of audio and video materials in online learning greatly contributes to the formation of communicative competence of students, developing their listening skills (while listening to audio files or watching videos) and speaking (further discussion of what was listened to / watched with groupmates or the teacher). It is established that only if the rules and norms of the educational process are observed by a teacher and a student, the studying of a second foreign language in terms of distance learning will be carried out in full.
