Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the basic principles underlying separation predicates on semantic types. An attempt to justify the denotative and syntagmatic principles in a comprehensive criteria for the classification of
predicates was made. It was found that the typology of predicates reflects semantic types of situations - static and
dynamic, subjective and subject-object. In the denotative aspect the dynamic and static types of predicates were
distinguished. In the syntagmatic aspect subject and object types of predicates were distinguished
