Паремійна концептуалізація дружини (на матеріалі польської та української мов)

Abstract

У статті досліджено особливості паремійної вербалізації стереотипних національних уявлень про дружину в польській та українській мовах. З’ясовано роль і місце дружини в сімейній ієрархії, національні пріоритети при виборі майбутньої дружини. Встановлено, що образ дружини при всій своїй конвергентності має чимало дивергентних ознак, які вирізняють носіїв української ментальності від носіїв польської.

В статье исследованы особенности паремийной вербализации стереотипных национальных представлений о жене в польском и украинском языках. Выяснена роль и место жены в семейной иерархии, национальные приоритеты при выборе будущей жены. Установлено, что образ жены при всей своей конвергентности имеет немало дивергентных признаков, отличающих носителей украинской ментальности от носителей польской.

In the article the features of the proverbal verbalization of stereotype national representations about the wife in the Polish and Ukraininan languages are studied. It has been established that the image of a wife, with all its convergence, has many divergent features that distinguish the carriers of the Ukrainian mentality from the Polish carriers. Particularly, in the collective representation of the Ukrainians, verbalized in proverbs, the lack of intelligence in one’s wife was more valued than its presence. Instead, in the representations of the Poles, the mental preferences of her over her husband envisioned changes in the family hierachy. It has been determined that in Ukrainian proverbs marital relations receive a higher status qualification mark than relations with the closest blood relatives. It has been found out that the duties of a Polish wife, unlike Ukrainian, were limited to typical domestic work. It is noteworthy that the wife for the carrier of the Ukrainian collective consciousness is a friend and advisor. In the proverbs of both languages the divorce, marriage of mercenary conciderations, and the positional-psycological role of the henpecked husband are strongly condemned. In both Polish and Ukrainian proverbs the idea that the material advantage of a wife over her husband changes the traditional family hierarchy.
