Творчість українських романтиків у рецепції Петра Хропка

Abstract

У статті розглядаються публікації відомого вітчизняного вченого Петра Хропка, присвячені поезії, прозі та драматургії українських романтиків ХІХ століття. Звертається увага на монографії дослідника, його підручники, посібники, статті, нариси, рецензії, методичні розробки, пов’язані з літературною діяльністю романтиків, суспільним резонансом їх мистецьких і громадянських виступів у період становлення та утвердження нового українського письменства.

Introduction. The aсаdemician Petro Khropko (1928-2003) belongs to the well-known scientists-philologists of the second half of the 20-th century in Ukraine and all over the world. He is the participant of that generation of the prominent specialists in literature of the latest period who had courage refuse from the old views and schemes. The literary critic P. Khropko has more than three hundred of the scholarly works. He is the author of the investigations, school-books, manuals, articles, essays, reviews, methodical works about the native literary and artistic process of the 19 -th century. His scholarly works about the development of the Ukrainian romanticism demonstrate P. Khropko’s high-level erudition with respect to national and universal authorship and literary mindset. But the great and versatile scientific heritage of this philologist is not investigated enough. Purpose. The object of our article is characteristic of P. Khropko’s scholarly works about the development of the Ukrainian romanticism during the 19-th century and determination of the scientist’s role in popularization of the new information about the participants of this literary trend. It is noted, that interest in art heritage of there writers was constant during all scientific activity of the scientist. Меthods. In the article we relied on the cultural and historical method of a research of literary and critical phenomena, on the principles of objectivity and systematicity. Results. In the article P. Khropko’s scholarly works about the development of the Ukrainian romanticism during the 19 -th century are analysed. Іt was found out the role of the researcher in popularization of works of Petro Hulak-Artemovskyi, Pylyp Morachevskyi, Olexa Storozhenko, Kyrylo Topolya, Yakiv Shchogoliv and other Ukrainian romantics. Originality. The article considers the peculiarities of P. Khropko’s vision of the Ukrainian romanticism during the 19-th century. The writer’s style of P. Khropko as a researcher was characterized in the publication. Conclusion. The literary critic P. Khropko belongs to the well-known scientists-philologists of the latest period. It is desirable to collect and publish P. Khropko’s scholarly works with necessary comments.
