Формування іншомовної професійної читацької компетентності майбутніх інженерів у технічному ВНЗ

Abstract

У статті описано модель навчання майбутніх інженерів технічного ВНЗ професійно орієнтованого англомовного читання та шляхи реалізації моделі на заняттях з навчальної дисципліни «Іноземна мова» за такими параметрами: тематичні розділи, кількість годин, етапи навчання, система відповідних вправ. Відзначено, що модель навчального процесу для формування професійно орієнтованої англомовної читацької компетентності реалізується на принципах поетапності навчального процесу, циклічності, системності, професійної спрямованості навчання. У статті детально описаний процес реалізації трьох основних етапів роботи з текстом: дотекстовий, текстовий та післятекстовий. Для кожного етапу роботи з текстом запропоновані різноманітні типи вправ, які відповідають цілям відповідного етапу, та визначено, які методи і прийоми слід використовувати на кожному з цих етапів. Детально проаналізовано Програму навчальної дисципліни «Іноземна мова», визначені суб’єкт і об’єкт навчання. Перераховані основні змістовні модулі, в результаті опрацювання яких відбувається вдосконалення навичок і розвиток вмінь професійно орієнтованого англомовного читання фахових тестів студентами технічного університету. Розглянуто основні види контролю: поточний, рубіжний і підсумковий контроль та оцінювання навчальних досягнень студентів у процесі формування професійно орієнтованої англомовної читацької компетентності. У статті, крім того, описано, як здійснюється оцінювання знань студентів з навчальних дисциплін, формою підсумкового контролю яких є залік або екзамен, та як розподіляються бали оцінювання відповідно до форми контролю. Наведена таблиця переведення балів за 100-бальною шкалою в національну та європейську, яка застосовується в Херсонському національному технічному університеті.

The article describes the training model for future engineers at the technical universities of professionally oriented English-language reading and the ways of implementing the model in classes on the academic discipline "Foreign Language" according to the following parameters: thematic sections, quantity of hours, stages of training, the system of proper exercises. It is noted that the model of educational process for the formation of professionally oriented English-language reading competence is realized on the principles of step-by-step learning, cyclicality, systemacity, professional orientation of training. The process of realization of three main stages of the text reading is described in details: pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading. For each stage of the text work, different types of exercises are proposed that meet the goals of each stage and determine which techniques should be used at each stage. The program of the academic discipline "Foreign language" is analyzed, the subject and object of study are determined. The main content modules are listed as a result of which the improvement and the development of the skills of professionally oriented English-language reading of professional tests by students of technical university are developed. The main types of control: current, intermediate and final control and the assessment of students’ educational achievements in the process of formation of professionally oriented English-language reading competence are considered. It is described how the assessment of students' knowledge on the disciplines is carried out, where the credit or exam is the form of final control and how the grades are distributed according to the form of control. The table of transferring the grades of the 100-point scale to the national and European scales, which is used in Kherson national technical university, is presented.
