Внесок Ю. Шевельова у дослідження спадщини неокласиків

Abstract

У статті розглянуто праці всесвітньо відомого українського вченого Ю. Шевельова, присвячені творчості неокласиків. Наголошується на визначальній ролі доробку дослідника в осмисленні цього яскравого явища в історії української літератури. Стверджується, що роботи Ю. Шевельова стали одними із перших у літературознавстві спроб наукового трактування спадщини неокласиків. Ученому вдалося розкрити сутність творчого обличчя представників цієї групи, особливості їхньої стильової манери. Підкреслюється, що незважаючи на дискусійність окремих положень робіт Ю. Шевельова, більшість його оцінок витримали перевірку часом і стали основою для подальших студій цієї проблематики.

Introduction. The article is devoted to the consideration of the work the world-famous Ukrainians scientist Y. Shevelov, in which the works of Kyiv poets, translator sand literary school arose the 20’s and the beginning of the 30’s of XXth century, which entered in to history as neoclassicists, are interpreted. To address this problem prompts the originality of the idea soft here searcher, which still cause ambiguous use valuations among scientists. Purpose. The purpose of the work is to determine the contribute on of Y.Shevelov in the scientific study of the heritage of the neoclassic and to find out the influence of his ideas on the formation of a new quality of scientific work is subject. Result. The works of Y.Shevelov became one of the first in native literary criticism fat tempts of scientific reflection on t he work of the neoclassicists. The scientist managed to reveal the essence of the a esthetical peculiarity of the neoclassicists, the peculiarities and distinctive feature soft he style of each of the artists of this group. Y.Shevelov argued that neoclassic u nited not by stylistic unity, but high intelligence, rootedness in world culture, urbanism, professing оf intellectual, and not declarative patriotism. Uncontested merits of Y. Shevelov as a researcher of the heritage of the neoclassical can be attribut ed to his interpretation of the prose of V. Petrov (Domontovych) as a neoclassical phenomenon. Originality. In the article for the first time the contribution of Yu. Shevelov to the development of scientific principles of comprehension of the work of the neoclassicists was summed up, and the significance of his work sin revealing the place and role of the creative group of neoclassic in the spiritual and cultural life of the Ukrainian people was clarified. Conclusion.Yu. Shevelov contributed to his work by translating the consideration of the activities of the neoclassicists on the purely scientific basis, the liberation from the in correct interpretations that became established in literary criticism and public consciousness. Not with all the scientist’s assessments, you can agree, but most of his ideas and work stood the test of time and became a starting point for the research of other scholars.
