У статті досліджені часопросторові та націєцентричні домінанти історичного роману Леоніда Полтави «1709». Для повноти осягнення мети в тексті виділяються такі складові, що формують національний простір: хронотоп, національний простір, дихотомія «свій» – «чужий», соціальні чинники тощо. Як вагомий чинник формування художнього тексту розглядається національна та соціальна самоідентифікація персонажів.
Introduction. This article describes chronotopical and naciocentric dominants in the novel «1709» by Leonid Poltava. Purpose. There are such categories enlightened for complete object achievement as chronotopos, interior, national space, the categorization of own and alien, social factors etc. Results. Characters’ national and social self-identification is represented as an important factor of formation of the artistic text. The features of coexistence of two historically formed social groups – farmers and Cossacks – inside Ukrainian nation are analyzed. Change of the farmer’s psychotype under the influence of historical circumstances are considered. It is paid much attention to the question of the functioning of historical and artistic truth in the novel. An important place in this analysis belongs to revealing the specifics of the formation of the image of Ivan Mazepa and his entourage. A purpose and features of using in the novel texts of historical documents, their role in creating illusions of the realistic drawing in spite of domination of neoromantic elements are analyzed too. Originality. The categorization of own and alien in the novel is realized on different levels. The categorization of own and alien is equal to the positions of «patriot» – «traitor» within one national group; as a variant of the categorization of own and alien (different) (Ukrainians and Swedes) and own – alien (enemy) (Ukrainians and Russians) are fixed in different national groups. This categorization is also represented on chronotopical and individual levels (own and alien space, individual space of person).
