У статті аналізуються особливості підготовки майбутніх фахівців з фізичного виховання та спорту у Литовському спортивному університеті – провідному закладі вищої освіти Литви, який забезпечує навчальні програми для всіх трьох циклів підготовки (бакалавр, магістр, доктор). Виявлено, що університет бере активну участь у різноманітних міжнародних проектах, зокрема здійснює підготовку Європейського бакалавра з фізичної активності та стилю життя у Консорціумі семи університетів Європи PAL; реалізує програму «Міжнародний магістр з аналізу ефективності спорту» в університетах трьох європейських країн у межах програми Erasmus. Встановлено, що всі навчальні програми базуються на новітніх технологіях та формуються відповідно до потреб ринку праці.
The article analyses the peculiarities of training of future specialists in physical education and sport at Lithuanian Sports University which is the leading higher educational establishment in Lithuania that provides curricula for three cycles of training (Bachelor, Master, Doctor). It was found that the university offers 8 Bachelor curricula, 5 of them are in English. Among them there is the curricula “Sport Recreation and Tourism” which is designed for three-year course including 180 credits. When the course is done a graduate obtains the qualification Bachelor of Business Management.
It should be noted that the university takes an active part in various international projects. Thus, in terms of the project “European Bachelor on Issues of Physical Activity and Consulting on Issues of Lifestyle” the university offers the program European Bachelor of Physical Activity and Lifestyle, which is realizing by Consortium of Seven European Universities. The graduates obtain, beside the Certificate of Bachelor of Sport of Lithuanian Sports University, the Certificate of Consortium of Universities PAL (Physical Activity and Lifestyle). This Certificate gives great opportunities for graduates to continue their study and upgrade at European universities.
It was found that Lithuanian Sports University offers 6 Master curricula in English which last two academic years and consist of 120 credits. One of them “Tourism and Sports Management” lasts one year and a half and consists of 90 credits.
Using the resources of mobility program Erasmus the university offers the program „International Master on Sports Effectiveness Analysis‟ which is realized in universities of three European countries: Germany, Portugal and Lithuania. After graduating the university the graduates obtain the qualification Master of Sports.
It was found out that the graduates can get jobs in international business institutions and manage sporting, recreational and health-related technologies and innovations. They are obtaining competences connected with: leadership and management, communication and social integration, wide knowledge on recreational and tourism management, management in resources and processes in recreation and tourism, design and realization of events and projects as a professional activity.
It was noted that every curriculum at Lithuanian Sports University is based on modern technologies and is designed to meet the market needs that are constantly changing.
