In the conditions of modern sports training, the role and importance of the human factor grows, and therefore it is impossible
not to take into account the laws of human behavior and the associated motivation.
One way to stimulate an athlete is through exposure in the form of approval and praise. These include the "reward" method,
based on "payment" for achieving specific results. The options for remuneration can be "remuneration with the help of certain
actions". It includes moral and material incentives - awards orders, medals, certificates, cash awards for certain achievements, fees,
bonuses, but for professional athletes and the ability to conduct commercial activities.
Athletes set themselves certain goals and try to implement them, having the appropriate incentives to achieve them. At the
same time, the existence of one goal does not mean that it will be achieved. The athlete will seek to implement it, if it embraces his
thoughts, feelings, desires, interests. Each athlete has a certain "stereotype" and such traits of character that impose an imprint on
all his behavior, including training. Therefore, some proceed from material motives, as the main stimulus; others - out of a sense of
duty, patriotism; the third - how to avoid criticism, condemnation; they are more inherent in the desire for fame, for fame. But in any
case, the non-training goal becomes an internal need for the athlete's behavior. Why does an athlete do this and not otherwise - for
this, one should consider and analyze his behavior and the orientation of the motives.
