Автор звертає увагу на передумови, які сприяли формуванню глибокого інтересу А. Єдлічки до українського фольклору та художнього слова. Окреслює коло українських літераторів, до творчості яких звертався митець (Г. Квітка-Основ’яненко, І. Котляревський, С. Писаревський, Т. Шевченко). Торкається питання щодо визначення впливу мистецького хисту А. Єдлічки на творчість П. Мирного та Я. Щоголева.
The interest in the artistic work of ukrainian writers of the first half of the nineteenth century ... identified one of the most important direction of artistic activity of a talented composer. The red line in the artist's artistic heritage includes the names of the most prominent representatives of the Ukrainian literature of the first half of the nineteenth century. - G. Kvitka Osnovyanenko, I. Kotlyarevsky, P. Mirny, S. Pisarevsky, T. Shevchenko, Y. Schogoleva. A complete musical version of I. Kotlyarevsky's operetta "Natalya Poltavka" belongs to the earliest musical attempts by A. Jedliczka (the time of the Poltava period of the composer's life and work). A. Jedliczka, one of the first in Ukrainian music, addressed the work of O. Koltsov, whom Shevchenko knew and loved. Own literary authors (G.Kvitka-Osnovyanenko, I.Kotlyarevsky, S.Pisarevsky) have the processing of folk songs of Jedliczka, which are contained in his "Collection ...". A. Jedliczka artistic talent had a positive influence on the poetic creativity of the talented Ukrainian poet Y. Shchogolev and the classic of Ukrainian literature - P. Mirny. M. Kolesa believed that A. Jedliczka had "great merit in the development of Ukrainian musical culture", and the collection of folk songs published by the artist "entered the golden fund of the national music literature of this kind". Some kind of fortune fell on Ukrainian songs in Edilich's treatment. They survived the test of time, they sounded not only in everyday life, but also entered the concert programs of the most prominent representatives of the Ukrainian vocal art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Ukrainian songs in Edilich's processing are used in modern pedagogical practice. They have become a symbol of the song of the Ukrainian people and already in the XXI century they have entered the numerous collections of Ukrainian folk song creations.
