У статті висвітлено досвід заповнення Новоросійським університетом на початку ХХ століття викладацьких вакансій на кафедрах медичного факультету. Зосереджено увагу на особливостях процедури призначення кандидатів на вакантні посади на кафедрах медичного факультету, зокрема проведення конкурсів, обговорення комісією в складі професорів науково-педагогічного досвіду та особистісно-професійних якостей претендента, проведення голосування. Підкреслено, що успішному заповненню викладацьких вакансій на кафедрах медичного факультету перешкоджало проведення університетом закритого балотування, невизначеність терміну розгляду їхнього науково-педагогічного доробку, а також келійність.
В статье отражен опыт заполнения Новороссийским университетом в начале ХХ века преподавательских вакансий на кафедрах медицинского факультета. Сосредоточено внимание на особенностях процедуры назначения кандидатов на вакантные должности на кафедрах медицинского факультета, включая проведение конкурсов, обсуждение комиссией в составе профессоров научно-педагогического опыта и личностно-профессиональных качеств претендента, проведение голосования. Подчеркнуто, что успешному заполнению преподавательских вакансий на кафедрах медицинского факультета препятствовало проведение университетом закрытого баллотирования, неопределенность срока рассмотрения их научно-педагогического наследия, а также келейность.
In the article an experience of filling teaching vacancies in the departments of medical faculty in the Novorossiysk University at the beginning of the XX century of is reflected. The attention is concentrated on the features of a procedure to appoint candidates for vacancies in the departments of medical faculty, including the holding of competitions, discussion of a scientific and pedagogical experience and personal and professional qualities of the applicant by the commission as a part of professors staff, voting. It is emphasized that successful filling teaching vacancies in the departments of medical faculty was interfered with the closed balloting by the university, uncertain term of consideration their scientific and pedagogical heritage and also secretiveness.
It is noted that in the Novorossiysk University the greatest competition among the applicants for positions of private-docents, in particular at the departments of medical faculty was observed. It is found out that the candidate for a vacant post as a private-docent presented a petition to the head of the department to appoint the place to conduct lectures and a practical training and also to say an object-matter. It is noted that the future private-docent had to provide to the faculty the diploma of Doctor of Medicine, scientific works and autobiographical data. Having the analysis of applicants` scientific works there were to be considered the definition of a subject, reporting depth of the main references on the studied theme, originality of author's conclusions, the theoretical and practical importance of a research. It is established that the applicants for a vacant post presented a theoretical practice lecture (by own choice) after which they had to give some explanations to the members of faculty, and a practical practice lecture (by the choice of faculty) by which results the colloquium was carried out. It was required that the applicant for a vacant post was able to give an assessment of the general condition of the patient and also to define indications and contraindications to operations, to carry out the analysis when carrying out the medical experiments.
It is noted the role of the trustee of the educational district and the Ministry of national education to solve staff questions by the Novorossiysk University at the departments of medical faculty.
The conducted research allows to claim that in the Novorossiysk University at departments of medical faculty there was a problem to ensure the educational process by the qualified research and educational staff which was being solved by the management by holding competitions for vacancies.
