Методика та практика подолання лінгвокультурної інтерференції у процесі підготовки майбутніх викладачів іноземної мови

Abstract

Стаття присвячена дослідженню явища інтерференції у методиці та практиці викладання іноземних мов. Уточнюється зміст поняття інтерференції у протиставленні з трансференцією. Аналізується вплив інтерференційних процесів на міжкультурну комунікацію. Розглядається зміст, причини виникнення та шляхи подолання лінгвокультурної інтерференції. Зосереджується увага на формуванні соціокультурної компетенції викладача іноземної мови як однієї з провідних умов подолання лінгвокультурної інтерференції.

Статья посвящена изучению явления интерференции в методике и практике преподавания иностранного языка. Уточняется содержание понятия интерференции в противопоставлении с трансференцией. Анализируется влияние интерференционных процессов на межкультурную коммуникацию. Рассматривается содержание, причины возникновения и пути преодоления лингвокультурной интерференции. Внимание сосредоточено на формировании социокультурной компетенции преподавателя иностранного языка как одного из главных условий преодоления лингвокультурной интерференции.

The article is aimed at studying the phenomenon of interference in the methods and practice of foreign language teaching, involving peculiarities of its interpretation in different fields of knowledge. The essence and types of interference (as the transfer of mother tongue rules to a foreign language, which causes a great number of mistakes) at different language levels are viewed through positive interference that proves to be essential in facilitating language skill formation. The notions of negative and positive interference have been clarified on the basis of latest research in the methods of teaching. The conflicting nature of language interaction has been accentuated, with defining interference as conflict interacting of cognitive and speech mechanisms that is manifested in the secondary language personality in the form of deviation from linguistic, discourse, socio-cultural standards of one linguo-culture under the influence of another. Interference processes in the framework of intercultural communication have been analyzed. The author has demonstrated didactic and methodical ways of overcoming the phenomenon of interference in foreign language learning. With the essence, reasons for emerging and possible ways of overcoming linguo-cultural interference being investigated in the context of cross-cultural interaction, special attention is paid to theoretical analysis of basic cultural concepts and their practical application in the process of teaching a foreign language in linguistic institutions of higher education. The formation of socio-cultural competence of a foreign language teacher has been put in the focus of attention in the present article, while substantiating its importance as the main condition for overcoming linguo-cultural interference. Essential characteristics of sociocultural competence, such as knowledge of a system of social and cultural universals reflecting basic concepts which are specific for every culture, have been revealed. Potential lines of investigating interference in foreign language teaching have been identified.
