The influence of different types of sports and health-improving tourism on the
functional systems relatively to other athletic employments of students is described in the article. Tourism, as a form of physical
exercises that is carrying out during a long period of time and a few days long, as walking, rowing, cycling, is the mean of sanitation.
At the same time, prophylactic value of sports and health-improving hikes for the different functional systems of human organism is higher than at engaging in some kinds of sports and active rest. The conducted expert judgement allowed to define the influence of
different types of tourism and health-improving trainings on the functional systems of students. Among the varieties of sports and
health-improving tourism most considerable influence has ski tourism. It influences on the nervous (3 points), cardiovascular (5
points), respiratory (5 points) and muscular (5 points) systems (the highest point was 5). Other types of the sports and healthimproving
trainings in tourism and other kinds (except of trainings in swimming) have considerably lesser influence on the marked
functional systems of students’ organism. Implementation of different types of sports and health-improving trainings allowed to raise
adaptation potential in the groups of 1st and 2nd yeared students. The amount of students who had the III level of adaptation, that
testifies about unsatisfactory level of students’ organism functioning, decreased under the influence of all types of trainings. Also we
determined an increase of students who had the II and the I levels of adaptation. At the same time the most changes of adaptation
potential during 2 years were received due to trainings in ski tourism (the amount of students with the I level of adaptation increased
on 38,5 %).
