The article summarizes the theoretical basis for studying the peculiarities of developing a new approach to the health of student
youth based on the provisions of modern theories of health preservation in the field of physical education, taking into account the
role of theoretical knowledge and applied skills.
Behavior of student youth in an educational institution should be formed in the following two directions: strengthening and
creating positive in a way of life; overcoming, reducing risk factors. It is necessary to emphasize the personal orientation of students
to health. And an important role in shaping the health of factors of student youth is played by institutions of primary, secondary and
higher vocational education as the main facts of secondary socialization.
Thus, a large visual-information load with low motor activity and the lack of balanced work and rest of students can cause
deterioration of physical development and disorders of the functions of the visual analyzer. Consequently, prevention and correction
of vision are an integral part of maintaining the health of student youth, which requires a clear understanding of the mechanisms of
disturbed functions. The use of pedagogical means of correction of vision is more beneficial than medical intervention. Consequently,
in the pedagogical process of learning it is necessary to make certain corrections that take into account the age and functional
capabilities of the individual.
An important aspect of forming the preservation of behavioral health is medical-professional counseling. Advising
adolescents and young people directly before choosing a direction of study, university or specialty contributes to the formation of an
active life position in relation to their own health, as it provides the opportunity to make decisions independently regarding their
future, taking into account the individual level of health and aptitudes.
