Профілактика порушень зору у дітей молодшого шкільного віку

Abstract

The article deals with methods of prevention visual impairment among primary school children, the necessity of systematic preventive influence of teachers, parents and health professionals. Special attention was paid to the health saving method of V. Bazarnii, the expediency of its introduction in the elementary school, with preferably no specific set of exercises, or pupils’ training activities. In order to determine the level of knowledge valeological primary school teachers and parents on prevention of visual impairment in children of primary school age a questionnaire was used. It was found a lack of teachers’ awareness on the subject, as well as the need for teachers, doctors and parents cooperation for preventive work. Prospects for further research in this area are to test the effectiveness of various programs for prevention and correction of visual impairment in children of all ages, as well as developing training sessions and seminars on prevention of visual impairment for parents and teachers
