living languages included identifying patterns of thought, achieving a clear correlation of language and reality, a clear
distinction meaningful and meaningless phrases and more. Linguistics was more aimed at studying the use of words and
analytic philosophy – mostly on how and why it is used. Based on these ideas of analytic philosophy unfolded speech acts
research in theoretical linguistics.
