Короткий опис(реферат):
The given review is devoted to the book by professor Antoine Arjakovsky "Anticipating an Orthodox Council: the spiritual and ecumenical way". This book is a collection of articles, which were written during 2005-2012 on the problems of convocation of the Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church and relations between Orthodox Christian believers and the rest of the Christian world. The author gives special attention to such problems, as the development of the modern Orthodox theological thought, authority in the Orthodox tradition (which is one of the main issues in the dialogue with the Catholic Church), and the development of inter-Christian and inter-religious dialogue. The book also traces a line of perspectives of keeping Orthodox identity in the circumstances of modern ecumenical activity of Orthodoxy.
