Від E Pluribus Unum до the United States of America: деякі аспекти філософії американського патріотизму

Abstract

У статті висвітлюється один із аспектів руху до високого рівня патріотизму, що передбачає прослідковування динаміки об’єднавчих процесів американських штатів в одну країну й відтворення цієї динаміки у державній символіці, зокрема у гербові й одному з найпоширеніших і найзрозуміліших для американців девізові, що великою мірою зумовила процес формування патріотичних почуттів у населення. Йдеться про гасло «E Pluribus Unum» («Із багатьох одне»), яке розміщене на Гербі (Великій Печатці) США. Пошуки філософського змісту гасла і його впливу на виховання патріотичних почуттів пов’язуються з його трактуваннями філософами-мислителями попередніх віків.

The article deals with one of the aspects of movement to the high level of patriotism that connected with dynamics of united processes of American states in one country and showing this dynamics in states symbols, especially in emblem and one of the most common and clear for Americans slogan which predetermined the processes of formation of patriotic feelings by population. It is the slogan «E Pluribus Unum» that is placed on emblem (Great Seal) of the USA. Searches of philosophical content of the slogan and its impact upon the education of patriotic feelings are going to the interpretations by philosophers-thinkers of previous ages.
