Языковая рефлексия в эпистолярном тексте (на материале писем Н. И. Пирогова)

Abstract

В статье рассматриваются формы отражения языковой рефлексии в эпистолярном тексте. Показано, что письма фиксируют деятельность сознания их автора, направленную на осмысление таких этапов порождения речи, как мотивация, планирование высказывания, выбор слов. Метаязыковые высказывания способствуют организации коммуникативной деятельности адресанта, обеспечивают адекватность понимания авторского замысла адресатом, а также выполняют эмоциональноэкспрессивную функцию и функцию акцентирования, выделяя семантически значимый компонент высказывания.

У статті розглянуто форми відображення мовної рефлексії в епістолярному тексті. Показано, що листи фіксують діяльність свідомості їх автора, спрямовану на осмислення таких етапів генерування мовлення, як мотивація, планування висловлення, вибір слів. Метамовні висловлення сприяють організації комунікативної діяльності адресанта, забезпечують адекватність розуміння авторського задуму адресатом, а також виконують емоційно-експресивну функцію та функцію акцентування, виокремлюючи семантично значущий компонент висловлення.

The purposes of the paper are to consider the forms of language reflexivity in epistolary text and to find out which stages of the process of generating speech become the object of the analytic activity of the recipient’s consciousness primarily. Material of the research includes published letters of the outstanding surgeon and scientist N. I. Pirogov, written by him during his participation in the Crimean War of 1854–1855. The letters of N. I. Pirogov manifest the activity of his consciousness, aimed at comprehending such stages of speech generation as motivation, planning statements, choice of words. These are key points in which language reflexivity becomes a means of overcoming the automatism of speech. Communicative reflexives of both a prospective and retrospective nature prevail in N. I. Pirogov’s letters. Metalanguage utterances reflecting the reflexivity of the author of the letters contribute to the organization of the addresser’s communicative activity, provide an adequate understanding of the author’s intention by the addressee, and also perform an emotionally expressive and accent functions, highlighting the semantically significant component of the utterance. The prospects of our investigation are connected with expansion of the circle of addressers whose letters can be used as material for the study. This will make it possible, on the one hand, to make generalizations that can be extrapolated to epistolary texts of the certain period, and, on the other hand, to compare the types and forms of manifestation of language reflexivity in the epistolaries of different authors.
