Коментування варто розуміти як сумлінний виклад подій; це – спілкування, обмін поглядами, спростування чи підтвердження інформації через суб’єктивну призму бачення. Тут мають місце прогнози, варіанти розвитку ситуації, рекомендації фахівців і самого автора, а також думки додаткової персони в концепції «авторчитач» – коментатора. Коментар як аналітичний жанр журналістики вимагає дотримання канонічних вимог,а тому претендує на довіру громадськості. Однак, коментар є також і методом
доказового міркування, яким в умовах віртуального інформаційного середовища користується кожен, хто має до нього доступ. Такий вільний коментар і є об’єктом дослідження. Він може провокувати додаткові дискурсивні лінії, які вимальовуються в павутині коментарів і ставати середовищем для поширення неправди, перекручених фактів, чуток, припущень, емоційних порівнянь, дискредитації персони, нефахового обговорення події чи явища тощо. В умовах інформаційної війни коментарі стають інструментом її проведення, а в умовах широкомасштабної війни – займають дієве місце в механізмі планування та розкручування спрямованих інформаційно-психологічних операцій, оскільки
об’єктом коментування є психіка людей. З’ясувати як це відбувається – мета дослідження. Для цього виділили кілька видів коментарів: позитивний, негативний, демонстративний, замовний, критичний, «німий» і проаналізували дієвість кожного з них в умовах війни. Довели значне місце коментування в розгортанні інформаційно-психологічної операції. Пояснили суть самого поняття, розділивши на інформаційні акції і сплановані інформаційні операції, також виокремили їхні завдання та конкретизували цілі маніпулювання масовою свідомістю.

It contains predictions, options for the development of the situation, the recommendations of experts and the author himself, as well as the views of an additional person in the concept of "author-reader" - the commentator. However, commentary is also a method of evidentiary reasoning that is used by everyone who has access to it in a virtual information environment. Such free comment is the subject of research. It can provoke additional discursive lines that form in the web of comments and become a medium for spreading untruths, false facts, rumors, assumptions, emotional comparisons, discrediting a person,
unprofessional discussion of an event or phenomenon, and so on. In the context of information warfare, comments become a tool for its conduct, and in the context of large-scale war - take an effective place in the mechanism of planning and promotion of targeted information and psychological operations, as the object of commentary is the human psyche. The purpose of the study is to understand how this happens. To do this, several types of comments were identified: positive, negative, demonstrative, ordered, critical, "dumb" and analyzed the effectiveness of each of them in wartime. A significant place for comment in the deployment of information and psychological operations is proved. The essence of the concept itself is explained, dividing it into information actions and planned information operations, also their tasks are singled out and specific goals of manipulating the mass consciousness are defined.
