Діяльність ЮНЕСКО щодо впровадження ідей освіти для сталого розвитку в шкільні підручники

Abstract

Проаналізовано діяльність ЮНЕСКО щодо впровадження ідей освіти для сталого розвитку в шкільні підручники. З’ясовано, що одним із важливих напрямів діяльності ЮНЕСКО є розробка й впровадження в освітню практику якісних підручників. Узагальнено, що діяльність ЮНЕСКО в ХХ ‒ на початку ХХІ століття була спрямована на сприяння розробки, видавництва й розповсюдження якісних підручників насамперед шляхом підготовки кваліфікованих експертів у різних галузях і фінансової підтримки національних видавничих галузей, а також підготовки кваліфікованих спеціалістів. Тому програми ЮНЕСКО в цьому напрямі були зорієнтовані на допомогу щодо розв’язання проблем із підготовки й оцінки підручників у різних країнах. Викладено історію співпраці ЮНЕСКО з різними установами щодо питань перегляду змісту підручників, впровадження гуманітарних ідей у шкільні підручники, зокрема з Інститутом Георга Еккерта (GEI), Інститутом освіти для миру й сталого розвитку Махатми Ґанді. У статті проаналізовані різноманітні проєкти щодо розробки й впровадження ідей освіти для сталого розвитку в шкільні підручники, які були реалізовані завдяки співпраці ЮНЕСКО з урядами держав, зокрема Німеччини, Фінляндії та Іраку. Узагальнено, що основним завданням діяльності ЮНЕСКО є створення підручників, в яких буде чітко прослідковуватись наступність. ЮНЕСКО виступає за нове бачення освітнього процесу й сприяє формуванню в молодого покоління компетентностей. До ключових компетентностей віднесено критичне й системне мислення, оцінка змін у суспільстві й системах освіти, співпереживання та прагнення до змін. Метою діяльності ЮНЕСКО в цьому напрямі є підтримувати й розвивати потенціал зацікавлених сторін у розробці підручників у всьому світі й створити нове покоління підручників, пристосованих до викликів ХХІ століття. Тому було створено Інтернет-портал, що дозволить авторам підручників інформувати ЮНЕСКО про оновлення та розширення джерельної бази підручників.

The articles analyze the activities of UNESCO on implementing the ideas of education for sustainable development in school textbooks. It has been found that one of the possible directions of activities of UNESCO is the development and implementation of quality textbooks into the educational practice. It is generalized that the activity of UNESCO in the 20th – early 21st century was aimed to facilitate the development, publishing and distribution of quality textbooks, first of all by training qualified experts in various fields and financial support of national publishing industries, as well as the training of qualified specialists. Therefore, UNESCO’s programs in this area have been developed to help solving the problem of preparing and evaluating textbooks in different countries. The history of UNESCO’s cooperation with various institutions on the issues of revision of the content of textbooks, implementation of humanitarian ideas in school textbooks, in particular with the Georg Eckert Institute (GEI), the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Education for Peace and Sustainable Development, has been covered. The article analyzes various projects on the development and implementation of ideas for education for sustainable development in school textbooks, which were implemented through the cooperation of UNESCO with the governments of countries, including Germany, Finland and Iraq. It has been generalized that the main task of UNESCO’s activity is to create textbooks in which the continuity will be clearly traced. UNESCO advocates the new vision of the educational process and promotes the formation of competencies in the younger generation. The key competencies include critical and systematic thinking, assessment of changes in society and education systems, empathy and the desire for changes. The objective of UNESCO’s work in this area is to support and develop the potential of the interested parties in the development of textbooks around the world and to create the new generation of textbooks adapted to the challenges of the 21st century. Therefore, the Internet portal has been created that will allow the textbooks authors to inform UNESCO about updating and expanding the source base of the textbooks.
