Представництво провідних футбольних країн на змаганнях Ліги Європи УЄФА впродовж 2009-2018 років

Abstract

Футбол, як один з найпопулярніших видів спорту сьогодні багато в чому приносить визнання і поповнює скарбницю слави багатьох країн. З кожним роком зростає бажання представників (клубів) різних країн приймати участь у найпрестижніших футбольних турнірах, зокрема змаганнях Ліги Європи УЄФА. За період 2009-2018 років (з моменту змін у форматі проведення) в 1/16 стадії цих змагань участь прийняли 27 країн, представниками яких була різна кількість клубів. На інших стадіях спостерігалося зменшення кількості країн-учасниць. На стадії 1/8 вдавалося презентувати свої команди 19 країнам. На стадії 1/4 кількість учасників закономірно зменшилася і в досліджуваному періоді склала в загальному 12 країн-учасниць. На стадії 1/2 серед європейських країн було представлено лише 11 учасників загалом. У фінальних матчах за визначений період було представлено лише 6 країн-учасниць. Загалом варто підкреслити популяризацію змагань Ліги Європи УЄФА на світовій футбольній арені. Престижність змагань зростає з року в рік, що відповідно сприяє росту бажання все більшої кількості країн і їх клубів приймати у них участь.

Achievements in the sports are becoming increasingly important for the prestige of countries at the international arena, which contributes to the development of sport in general. Football, as one of the most popular kinds of sport, in many respects brings recognition and replenishes the treasure trove of the glory of many countries. Therefore, every year the desire of representatives (clubs) of different countries to participate in the most prestigious football tournaments, in particular UEFA Europa League competitions, is growing. In particular, for the period of 2009-2018 (since the changes in the format of holding) in the 1/16 stage of these competitions there were took part 27 countries, which represented a different number of clubs. However, the dynamics of their participation was variable, on average from 15 to 18 countries. At other stages, there was a decrease in the number of participating countries. For example, at stage 1/8 19 countries got an opportunity to present their teams. The dynamics of their participation also varied during 2009-2018 - from 9 to 12 teams on average. At stage 1/4, the number of participants naturally decreased and in the studied period was in general made up 12 countries. The dynamics of their participation varied in average 5-7 countries. At stage 1/2 among the European countries, only 11 participants were presented in general, with significant changes in the dynamics of their participation, from 2 to 4 for the selected seasons. In the final matches for a specified period, only 6 countries were represented. At the same time, Spain managed to be represented in finals by seven different clubs. It’s indicating a high level of domestic championship. In general, the promotion of the UEFA Europa League competition on the world football arena is worth emphasizing. The prestige of the competition grows year after year, which contributes to the growing desire of more and more countries and their clubs to take part in them.
