Характеристика і результати виступів українських спортсменів у марафонському бігу на основних легкоатлетичних форумах

Abstract

В роботі охарактеризовано марафонський біг як один із найскладніших видів легкої атлетики, його особливості та подальший прогрес. Визначено особливості головних світових марафонів та умови участі в них. Досліджено питання відбору українських спортсменів-марафонців на основні легкоатлетичні форуми останнього десятиріччя, результати їх виступів та перспективи подальших досліджень у цьому напрямі. За результатами виступів вітчизняних легкоатлетів виявлено проблему, пов’язану з технологією проведення якісного відбору в команду, а також недоліки послідовної системи підготовки і підведення спортсмена до високої спортивної форми, що дозволить гідно виступати в основних змаганнях як року, так і чотириріччя.

Abstract. The present research work characterizes marathon running as one of the most difficult track-and-field events, its peculiarities and further progress. The special characteristics of major world marathons and conditions of participation at these events are determined. We have analyzed the issues connected with the selection of Ukrainian marathon runners for participation at major track-and-field forums of the last decade, the performance results of Ukrainian athletes as well as the prospects of further research in this direction. The performance results of Ukrainian marathon runners revealed the problems related to the technology of team members quality selection, the consistent training system, getting top competition form by athletes, allowing to perform effectively at major competitions of the year and four years period, as well as to the detailed correction of training process and competition activities of both personal coaches and coaching staff, who are responsible for national teams formation. The correct use of the clearly built system of selection for marathon running will allow the winners of selection to reach qualifying standards with high-probability and positively influence the performance rates of other participants at qualifying competitions in our country.
