The conceptual model of the psychohygiene of young students goes as follows: tasks, principles, risk factors: irrational
training load; hypodynamia; irrational mode of the day; bad habits; Increased sensitivity to mental factors; negative microsocium;
Preventive measures: specific; nonspecific; Health damage: neuropsychological diseases; psychotic diseases; decrease in working
capacity; Nervous - mental overstrain.
In the formation of the physical culture of the personality of a specialist and his preparation for professional activity, an
important role belongs to health protection. Definition of health is given in the "Fundamentals of Ukrainian legislation on health
protection" and the Charter of the World Health Organization. "Health is a state of complete physical, spiritual and social well-being,
and not only the absence of disease and physical defects." Consequently, one of its main components is mental health. It should be
noted that mental health disorders are important not only in themselves, but also because the psycho-neurogenic factor plays a
significant role in the development of such widespread diseases as cardiovascular, ulcer and oncological diseases.
Negative tendencies in the neuropsychic and psychosomatic morbidity are put forward by the task of strengthening their
prevention, i.e. in the broad introduction of psychohygiene. Psychohygiene is a branch of medical knowledge that develops
measures for the preservation and strengthening of mental health, preventing the occurrence and development of mental illnesses.
The priority tasks of the psychohygiene of the students are: optimization of the educational process, preservation of the optimal
level of neuropsychiatric health, prevention of fatigue, psychosomatic and neuropsychic diseases.
