Інтертекст Дж. Д. Селінджера у прозі Любка Дереша

Abstract

У статті виявлено типологічну схожість та відмінність творів Дж .Д. Селінджера «Над прірвою у житі», «Вище крокви, теслі» та роману Л. Дереша «Культ». Доведено, що твори американського та українського авторів типологічно зближує образ молодої людини, яка у пошуках самоідентичності знаходиться у постійному зіткненні з собою та оточенням. Конфлікт простежується не тільки по лінії «батьки й діти», але й серед представників одного покоління. Визначено відмінності, що пов’язані із постмодерною поетикою твору Л. Дереша на відміну від реалістичної прози Селінджера. Роману українського письменника характерна гостросюжетність, дія переноситься у віртуальний простір (сновидіння) або таємно небезпечний – ворожий простір – це лабіринт підвалу, смердюче болото. Риси масової літератури, притаманні роману Л. Дереша, утворюють жанровий синтез із трилером та пригодницькою літературою.

In the literature of the 20th century, the problem of generations is vividly presented by the theme of «lost generation». The range of problems of generations gets its further development in the European and American literature of nonconformity of the second half of the 20th century, and later in the Ukrainian literature of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The purpose is to trace the intertextuality of the novel «Cult» by L. Deresz, to reveal the typological similarity and difference of his works from the works «The Catcher in the Rye» (1951), «Raise High The Roof-Beam, Carpenters» (1955) by J.D.Salinger. The works of the American and Ukrainian author are typologically brought together by the image of a young man who is in a constant conflict with himself and his surroundings trying to find self-identity. Similar is the confrontation in the format «character and peers», as the conflict at the level of the system of values is examined not only on the line «parents and children», but also among representatives of one generation. It is proved by a comparison of the plotline Solomiya – Yurko Banzai with love feelings of J.D. Salinger’s characters (Seymour Glass and Muriel Fedder, Holden Caulfield and Sally Hayes), the episode of «performance» in the college, etc. Typical devices are the use of anthroponyms, youth slang. In the stated angle, the problem is being studied for the first time. The protest of the young generation against the levelling of personality, total unanimity and agreement of opinions brings Yurko Banzai closer to J.D. Salinger’s characters, as proved by allusions and reminiscences from his works. But we want to note the differences associated with the postmodern poetry of L. Deresz’s work. In addition to the total irony his novel is characterized by acuity. The action is transferred to the virtual space (dreams) or secretly dangerous enemy’s space – a maze of the basement, a stinky mire. In the novel, we observe elements of mass literature, which form the genre synthesis of the novel initiation with the thriller and adventure literature.
